Four weeks into the 2022 NFL season are in the books, and it’s fair to say that the online winning trend is great news for sportsbooks and bad news for participants in survivor groups like Circa Survivor. But the gaming company has a generous way to compensate now-departed competitors.

Downtown Las Vegas’ newest and brightest integrated resort is offering eliminated Survivor contestants free midweek stays, known as “empathy packages,” of up to three nights at Circa Resort & Casino, D Las Vegas or Golden Gate Hotel & Casino. .

We know what it’s like to make a bad choice, so we’d like to show our appreciation to all the Circa Survivor contestants who have been eliminated so far. Any Circa Survivor contestant who has had all entries eliminated in the first three weeks of the NFL season will receive a free redemption package,” according to the gaming company. “This complimentary midweek package will include a hotel stay at any of our three properties, along with a day bed at Stadium Swim during your visit.”

Eliminated contestants who had one or two entries are eligible for a two-night stay at one of the downtown Las Vegas locations mentioned above, while those who opted for up to three entries can receive a three-night visit.

Circa could have a lot of visitors

Circa Survivor started the season with 6,133 entries, but that number has been dramatically reduced, and the NFL season isn’t even 25 percent complete.

Only 1,550 entries remained in Week 4, but 317 of those were eliminated yesterday as the Pittsburgh Steelers, Detroit Lions and Indianapolis Colts all lost. Losses to the Cleveland Browns and Carolina Panthers dropped 11 entries and if defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles beats the San Francisco 49ers. Monday night football tonight, four more Survivor contestants will be gone.

In Survivor competitions, participants can only use a team once during a season. Circa adds a layer of intrigue to this scenario by guaranteeing a $1 million bonus to players who wait until the last week of the season to use last year’s Super Bowl teams – the Rams and Cincinnati Bengals. However, many participants used both teams this year.

In fact, the 2021 Super Bowl teams are guilty according to Circa Survivor due to their Week 1 losses and the Bengals losing again in the week to the Dallas Cowboys, who were not without starting quarterback Dak Prescott.

Smart move by Stevens

Derek Stevens is the owner of Circa, Circa Sports the D, Golden Gate and Downtown Las Vegas Events Center and is the most visible gaming executive in Las Vegas.

The move to give Survivor losers an “empathy package” could prove insightful on several levels. First, competitors who accept the operator’s offer are likely to spend money in those hotels on food, drinks, games and perhaps more football betting.

Second, it increases midweek occupancy — something Las Vegas operators of all stripes have struggled with in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. Analysts expect this scenario to change for the better in 2023 as there are a lot of meetings and conventions on the books in the first half of the year.
