Tom Brady has already put himself in a position he hasn’t been in since entering the NFL, but the quarterback hopes he can turn things around for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers today. Meanwhile, the Arizona Cardinals are looking for a better offense as they take on the Seattle Seahawks for the second time this season.
One of the main points of focus as the Bucs prepare to face the LA Rams will be the fact that Tom Brady is just 164 yards away from reaching 100,000 in his career. It’s very possible they do it today against a Rams team that isn’t the same as last year.
The Cards faced the Seahawks in Week 6, but couldn’t get anything going. Oddsmakers favor them going into today’s game, which should give them a boost.
Bucs Keep Fighting
Pieces (3-5) are going through a tough time. They lost four straight and lost first place in the NFC South Division, falling below the Atlanta Falcons.

Brady can’t do it all by himself, though, and has struggled behind an offense that has suffered setbacks. Before the season started, Tampa Bay lost Ryan Jensen, their starting center. Now, they are without linebacker Cameron Brate, left guard Luke Goedeke and wide receiver Russell Gage as well.
Likewise, in the defensive secondary, Carlton Davis, Sean Murphy-Bunting, Logan Ryan and safety Antoine Winfield have been irregular due to various injuries. Winfield is out today, according to ESPN, but Murphy-Bunting, who has been a key man for the Bucs, could return today.
Amidst this scenario, the Buccaneers will be looking to shake their losing streak against the inconsistent Rams. They have now dropped to third place in the NFC West with a 3-4 record.
The league champions have not had much success this season. Both the offense and defense have struggled in ways they haven’t in 2021.
The offense barely managed to score 118 points. The Rams’ best game was when they scored 31 against the Falcons. However, QB Matthew Stafford made a lot of mistakes, racking up eight interceptions.
Still, the Rams have a clear edge over the Bucs. They have 19 wins and just nine losses, with four of the wins coming in their last five contests.
Cards out for revenge
Kyler Murray needs to prove why he was paid so much to be the Cardinals QB. So far, he has left few doubts as to whether he is the right man for the job. So far this season, he’s completed 66.2 percent for 1,993 yards and 10 touchdowns while adding six interceptions.

If the Arizona Cardinals are only 3-5, it’s because they keep finding ways to self-destruct. They can’t afford to make too many mistakes on either end of the court now that we’re halfway through the regular season.
Geno Smith went from being a test to becoming the best QB for the Seahawks. He surprised with his leadership ability and good decisions that turned into points on the field. Smith completed 72.7 percent of his passes for 1,924 yards, collecting 13 touchdowns and just three interceptions.
The Seahawks have a slim advantage going into this game with 24 wins, 22 losses and one tie. In addition, they have won three of their last five games. Still, oddsmakers like the Cards today and expect a high-scoring game. If they play like they did last time, scoring just 28 runs, the under punters will be happy.
